Proactive Pilates was established in 2010 and is owned and operated by Teresa Holmes an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Pilates instructor.

Teresa has over 20 years work experience in exercise prescription for rehabilitation and general wellbeing gained overseas and in Australia. She completed her professional studies in Germany where she lived and worked for several years. Following a move to Australia in 1995, Teresa then undertook Post Graduate studies in musculoskeletal rehabilitation at the University of Western Australia. Teresa has been an accredited ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia) member since 2000. She is fluent in Portuguese, German and English

Proactive Pilates located along the vibrant beach front in Scarborough offers a range of services including group Reformer Pilates, Studio PIlates, private and group pilates. In addition we offer Clinical Pilates and Exercise Physiology services supervised by highly experienced ESSA qualified Exercise Physiologists. We have recently added Massage Services


Reformer Studio

Our group Reformer Pilates classes are run from our spacious Reformer Pilates Studio located on the corner of Brighton Road and West Coast Highway. The Studio is equipped with state of the art Allegro 2 reformers and includes a beautiful connect space area for you to relax before or after your class. Classes are limited to a maximum of 12 people.

Physio and Exercise Physiology

We also offer exercise physiology and physio services from the studio and private connecting treatment room. Physio group classes and Post Natal classes are run by our physiotherapist.


Shower & Changing Room Facilities

All our clients have access to our modern shower and bathroom facilities in our Studio as well as within ground floor of the new Horizon Tower. Perfect for a freshen up after your class.



Plenty of parking bays available on the Scarborough Beach foreshore, Coles Scarborough - South Car park. Free parking (90 minutes) also available at the White Sands Hotel on West Coast Highway.
